China’s apparel sales increased 15.4% year-on-year in November

According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, in November, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 1,612.9 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 17.3% year-on-year, and an actual increase of 12.8% after deducting price factors. From January to November, the total retail sales of social consumer goods was 16.36486 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 17% year-on-year, and a real increase of 11.4% after deducting price factors.

The sales volume of 3,000 retail enterprises monitored by the Ministry of Commerce rose by 13% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 0.5 percentage points lower than that in October.

Among the 3,000 retail enterprises monitored by the Ministry of Commerce, the sales of catering and apparel goods increased by 16.8% and 14.9% year-on-year, respectively, and the growth rate was 0.6 and 2.0 percentage points higher than that in October respectively.

Among them, food and clothing sales increased by 17% and 15.4% year-on-year, respectively, an increase of 0.3 and 2.8 percentage points from October.

Since the beginning of this year, China’s consumption has grown steadily and rapidly. The total retail sales of consumer goods in the first eleven months have increased by 17% year-on-year, 0.2 percentage points higher than that in the first half of the year.
