Y-3 Shin Kong Place opens its fifth new store

Y-3, the internationally renowned fashion and sports brand, recently opened its fifth new store in Shin Kong Place. This expansion marks a significant milestone for the brand as it continues to grow its presence in mainland China. Since September 2004, Y-3 has been rapidly executing its global store-opening strategy, driven by strong retail performance and increasing consumer demand. The new location in Shin Kong Place, located in Beijing’s Central Business District (CBD), further strengthens Y-3’s network, which now includes over 30 stores across the region. The grand opening event took place on November 5th, where the brand showcased its latest 2010–2011 autumn and winter collection. Among the highlights were 30 exclusive outfits that had previously been displayed at New York Fashion Week. The event also featured appearances from several celebrities, including Ai Dai, Xiong Naijun, Luo Haiqiong, Li Chen, and the popular boy group MIC. Notable guests included Mr. He Jihai, President of the China Business Confederation; Mr. Cheng Jiandu, Chairman of Papillon Group; Mr. V. Changping, CEO of Yohji Yamamoto; Mr. Yuji Kanda, Marketing Director of Asia for adidas; and Ms. Pang Miao, Deputy General Manager of Shin Kong Place. The new store is strategically positioned among other luxury fashion brands, offering customers a premium shopping experience. Designed by Y-3's German headquarters, the interior features a sleek black theme with contrasting textures, creating an elegant and inviting atmosphere. The use of black mirror panels and soft lighting accentuates the iconic Y-3 logo, while the overall design reflects the brand’s modern and avant-garde identity. The Autumn/Winter 2010–2011 collection was inspired by traditional British tailoring techniques, blending classic styles with innovative materials. Yohji Yamamoto added a playful and humorous touch, drawing inspiration from iconic characters like Zorro and the hero of the red flower. This fusion of tradition and modernity gives the collection a fresh and unique appeal.
