building block dress book tour wrap-up

Hello, friends! I just got back from an amazing journey that took me to several incredible cities. It's always great to return home after being away, but this trip was extra special because I got to meet so many of you at book signings and workshops! I loved every moment spent chatting and connecting with each of you. Your thoughtful questions during the sessions provided valuable insights into areas where you might need guidance, and also highlighted areas where I can continue to support your sewing journey. I learned a lot too, and it was truly inspiring. The trip began in Houston at Quilt Market, where the Robert Kaufman team put together an adorable booth for my Building Block Dress book. They did a fantastic job showcasing all the samples I created using their beautiful fabrics. It was such a treat to see everything come together so nicely. From Houston, I traveled to Fancy Tiger in Denver, Colorado. My sister lives nearby, so it was great to catch up with her before my workshop. Little Bear, my companion, went everywhere with me, and I sent photos back to S. We had a wonderful day exploring together. Next stop was Seattle, where my dear friend Keli showed me around the city. We had a fantastic time before my workshop and book signing at her amazing shop, Drygoods Design. The city has so much charm, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. After Seattle, I visited my parents in Madison, Wisconsin. It was a short but sweet visit, and I even managed to bring back some laundry—something I don't get to do often since we live so far away. It felt good to spend a few days with them. From Madison, I headed to Cincinnati for a workshop and signing at Fibergé, which was held in conjunction with Sewn Studio. It was a great experience meeting more of you who share my passion for sewing. In Nashville, Tennessee, I conducted two workshops and a book signing at CraftSouth. I caught up with Anna Maria, who was busy preparing for her big trip to Australia. Despite her hectic schedule, she made time for dinner and a catch-up session. Nashville is buzzing with new shops and energy, and it was lovely to explore the area. My final stop was Rock Paper Scissors in Montclair, New Jersey. I stayed at a stunning bed and breakfast there. It was a perfect end to my travels. Before flying back home, I spent a couple of days in New York City. I visited Butterick to collaborate on some upcoming Lisette patterns, including a new coat design. It was wonderful to be back in NYC, even if it was brief. I squeezed in a quick check-up, visited a friend who received a kidney donation, and explored a couple of museums I'd been wanting to see. Thank you once again to everyone who made this trip unforgettable. I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Take care, [Your Name]
